SR 14 - Rockfall Mitigation White Salmon Vicinity PDF Print E-mail
Overview
WSDOT will make safety improvements to the State Route 14 corridor between mileposts 53.80 and 63.60.

The project will remove loose rock, unstable soil, trees, and other debris from these slopes. Crews will install rock anchors to stabilize the rock slope above the highway, and install wire mesh fencing along the slope to protect motorists from potential rock fall.

Pre-scheduled full closures of SR 14 start March 10 at Dog Mountain and March 15 at White Salmon.
Dog Mountain, March 10 through June 14
SR 14 will be closed just east of the Dog Mountain Trailhead (mile post 54) between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.

White Salmon, starting March 15 
SR 14 will be closed just east of the SR 141 Alternate (mile post 64) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week for no more than 30 working days.

SR 14 at Dog Mountain and White Salmon will be OPEN on the following dates for holidays and local events:
  • May 22 - White Salmon Spring Fest Parade
  • May 28-31 - Memorial Day weekend
  • June 26 - Stevenson Brews Blues & BBQs
  • July 2-4 - Fourth of July weekend
  • July 10 - White Salmon Art and Wine Fusion
  • July 31 - Stevenson Sportbike NW Rally
  • August 14 - Skamania County Fair
  • August 28 - Home Valley Bigfoot Bash
  • September 3-6 - Labor Day weekend 
  • September 11 - Bingen Huckleberry Festival Parade
